Implementasi Teori Behaviorisme Edward Lee Thorndike dalam Pembelajaran Nahwu di Pondok Pesantren Maskan Al-Hikmah Gedongan

Learning nahwu science in Islamic boarding schools is a subject that cannot be separated, because it is the basic key to understanding other religious sciences that focus on tafaqquh fiddin. The purpose of this study is to explore and describe how the process of implementing Edward Lee Thorndike's behaviorist learning theory in learning nahwu science at the Maskan Al-Hikmah Gedongan Cirebon Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative method with observation, interview and documentation techniques while the data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive interactive. The results of this study are that the process of implementing nahwu science learning at the Maskan Al-Hikmah Gedongan Cirebon Islamic Boarding School is in accordance with Edward Lee Thorndike's connectionism theory which is based on the occurrence of associations between stimulus and response. This follows the laws; 1). The law of readiness which is marked by all students preparing the material to be studied for 15 minutes before the ustadz explains. 2). The law of exercise which is described by the existence of a questio and answer system and practice or trial error. 3). The law of effect is described by the existence of rewards and punishments at the end of each learning process.
